This year’s show is going to be special...

...Not only have we got terrific attractions that make a great family event but we are doing this in an environmentally-friendly way.  We will be having organisations demonstrating ways to reduce our carbon footprint and artists will be creating an environmental sculpture.

Pulling in the attractions...

...Entertainment and displays will be taking place from 11.00am and includes a welcome return of the horse whispering display.  The falconry display, vintage vehicles and children’s activities will also be taking place in the main ring as well as many other activities around the show field.  Visitors can have a go at rustic craft demonstrations or visit the market stall holders selling local crafts.

All of the plates, cups and glasses will recyclable and visitors will be able to put them straight into a compost bin when they have finished.  That’s after eating the tasty local burgers and hot dogs, and sampling some of the local beers from the beer tent!

Come and visit the Chorley Show on Sunday 12th August for a great family day out and do your bit to help reduce climate change.

THE GOOD CAUSES...

The proceeds from this year’s show are being split between two local charities – the Elliot Clee Trust and Chorley Village Hall.

The Elliot Clee Trust is raising money for research into children’s autism.  The Trust has been set up to help Elliot Clee who has an abnormal chromosome that is linked to learning difficulties and a skin disorder.

Restoration of the 78 year old village hall is ongoing and has been supported by recent Chorley Shows.  Continuing the theme of climate change, the village hall is receiving an energy audit and refurbishment includes better insulation and energy saving devices.

Proceeds from the show raffle will be presented to the Bridge School (a special community school) in Telford to help build new facilities for the pupils.
