This year will see a larger and more diverse range of country crafts being demonstrated at the show. Among the skills on show will be pole lathe turning, hurdle making, gypsy flowers, rustic furniture and green willow weaving and sculpture. Many of these crafts almost died out in the 1960 and 70s, but now the use of hurdles, rustic furniture and willow sculpture in gardens has created new markets for these ancient skills, whilst country furniture and quality wood crafts are more and more being sought by the discerning customer who is tired of mass production and the throw away culture.
A range of local craftsman will be demonstrating their skills and exhibiting the results of their handiwork in the crafts area of the show on Sunday August 13 th
