Stottesdon Church has a peal of four bells dating from 1752 and have not been pealed in full cirle ringing since 1949 due to the structural state of the tower and the deteriated state of the bells and rope wheels.
A private donation has paid forthe Tenor Bell to be restored pofessionally and the Treble Bell resored by local labour.
Due to the generous donation of over £5000 from the Chorley Show during the years 2002 & 2003, the last two bells have now been repaired and returned to the tower ready to be installed in the belfry, and so complete the peal and once again.
After many years ring out loud and clear over this lovely shropshire village.
